We are looking for a talented front-end engineer to join a team that creates large-scale, highly-performance web applications.
This team transforms large, complex datasets into fast and responsive user interfaces used by millions of people.
As a Senior Software Engineer for Web Commerce (Full Stack), you will help us push the boundaries of what is possible on the client.
You'll work with a team of other developers alongside systems engineers, services engineers, and project managers.
You are highly proficient in Javascript, HTML and CSS and appreciate the details that make a user experience exceptional.
You demonstrate enthusiasm for new technologies, languages, frameworks, and platforms.
You are also highly proficient in resolving security issues in web applications utilizing current best practices and industry standardsThis position is located in New York, NY.

Responsibilities:
Security audit of web application with an emphasis on commerce/transactional flowsPropose alternatives to team for resolving security issuesDevelop best practices within team to maintain security of applicationIdentify gaps in team knowledge of security best practices and work with managers to resolve those gapsMaintain and improve security skills, knowledge, and training through professional development, including participating in tech conferences and wider tech community forums Implement web interfaces and applications using Javascript (ES6+) HTML and CSS.
Work on a modern stack including React, NodeJS, Amazon Web Services.
Enforce code quality through test driven development.
Distill product requirements into design and technical specifications.
Collaborate closely with other engineering, product, and marketing teams to define product requirements.
Preferred
Qualifications:
5-7 years of experience in infrastructure engineering and operations of eCommerce applicationsExperience in web application security analysis and resolution.
Experience in a NodeJS application development environment.
Experience with high-volume, public facing, transactional web applications with high levels of availability, resilient application architecture, scalable infrastructure, automation, and application performance monitoring.
Experience working within a modern Javascript workflow through technologies such as:
GitHub, CSS Preprocessors, Styled Components, Single Page Application frameworks and Module Bundlers (Webpack etc.
)Proven ability to integrate with service APIs and/or SDKs.
Experience in implementing A/B TestsExperience with root-cause analysis and troubleshooting infrastructure issues.
Additional Information:
Bonus Skills:
Authentication and authorization specific security experience, especially in eCommerce flowsExperience with streaming video, large data applications and analytics suites.
Hands on experience with React/Redux in a production application.
